Claude plugin
A Claude plugin named ai-power-tools, published through a marketplace named novocircle, carries the AI Power Tools skills. The AI Power Tools MCP Server for Sparx EA, which the skills call, comes from the Claude Desktop extension (Claude Desktop extension). You need both.
What it contains
- The 24 skills, plus a shared reference folder that holds no skill of its own and does not load as one.
- A manifest naming the plugin, its version and its license (MIT).
- No server. The plugin declares none and downloads none.
The ArchiMate 3.1 conformance ruleset ships in the same bundle but is not a skill and does not load as one. See ArchiMate 3.1 ruleset.
Who should use it
Anyone using Claude Desktop chat, Claude Cowork or Claude Code in the Claude desktop app (the Code tab). One install on your claude.ai account reaches all three.
Capabilities on those surfaces. The MCP server is available on all three, through the extension; on Claude Cowork it is available in local sessions only. Computer use is available on Claude Code and Claude Cowork, not on Claude Desktop chat. Local code execution is available on Claude Code, and not on Claude Cowork, whose local sessions run code in an isolated virtual machine, or on Claude Desktop chat. Browser control is available on all three. Where a capability is missing, the skills fall back as described in Capabilities and surfaces, and each skill's "Capabilities it uses" table says what changes.
Install from the marketplace
Install the Claude Desktop extension first (Claude Desktop extension), so the skills have a server to call. Enterprise Architect must be installed on the same Windows machine, because the server drives it.
- Open claude.ai/customize/plugins.
- Add the marketplace
NovoCircle/ai-power-tools-skills. - Install AI Power Tools from the
novocirclemarketplace. - Quit Claude Desktop completely, then reopen it.
For Claude Cowork, see Supported clients.
To check the install, see Verifying an installation. To update it, see Updating and uninstalling.
Limitations
- The marketplace on your account does not sync on its own. When a newer release exists, you sync
novocircleyourself (Updating and uninstalling). - Do not also install the plugin through Claude Code's own plugin commands on the same machine. In the Code tab the skills would load twice.
- Claude Code in a terminal (the command line) does not load Claude Desktop extensions, so the server from the extension is not available there.
- An organization can block third-party marketplaces by policy. Where that applies, the plugin has to arrive through the organization's own provisioning (Enterprise fleet deployment).
- A machine that also holds skills copied by the older skills installer loads every skill twice. Run the migration (Moving from an older installation).
Install from a plugin file
Installing from a plugin file suits a single workstation that is not managed centrally. The server still comes from the extension (Claude Desktop extension).
- Download
ai-power-tools.pluginfrom the latest skills release. - In Claude Desktop, open the plugin pane and upload the file.
- Restart Claude Desktop.
To check the install, ask for a skill by name (for example ea-modeling) and ask the assistant to call ping. See Verifying an installation.
Limitations
- It is per machine. A user with two workstations uploads twice.
- It does not update itself, and the client does not tell you when a newer build exists. The server's update notice does: it recognizes an uploaded plugin and sends you to the skills release for the newer
ai-power-tools.pluginfile, which you upload the same way before restarting Claude. - Use it for pilots and single seats, not for a fleet.
